LeTV is a Chinese brand, completely unknown in our country, but at home she’s trying to carve out a space all its own, not only thanks to a private television platform, style Youtube/Netflix, particularly active in the area, but also thanks to the presentation of a number of Android devices. Among them is also the LeTV One | LeTV One: HDBlog.it’s review | LeTv Pro and we feel today and one of the first device to use port USB-C.
Hardware, Materials and ergonomics:
Pack well cared for this LeTV Pro which looks a bit like that of the iPhone 6. Inside, in addition to the paper clip to extract the tray of SIM card, we’ve got a few quick instructions manual, a battery charger with USB output and cable with 2 port USB-C. There is also a clear plastic protective cover , very inexpensive. There is no headset.
The chassis is made entirely of metal and style adopted by HTC on its One. On top of the device has a 3.5 mm audio jack and an infrared transmitter run by a Chinese software which makes it very difficult to use in Italy. On the left side, instead, we find a switch to bypass quickly the ringtones and rocker arm for adjusting the volume. The right side with single drawer micro SIM format, and the power button.
On the bottom, in addition to the USB connector-C, we have the grids for the speaker and the main microphone. On the back there are camera, dual flash and second microphone for noise suppression system de. Earlier, a 5 megapixel camera, light and proximity sensors and a small LED notification. The function keys are capacitive, backlit, but are not very visible during the day.
Pretty convenient to use thanks to the rear slightly rounded but weight that you do enough feel: 177 grams. The dimensions are 73.8 x 148.4 x 9.4 mm

The processor is the new Snapdragon 810, a 64-bit octa-core 2 GHz with Adreno GPUmemory supported by 430 3 GB RAM that allow the system to be always very quick and responsive. The integrated, non-expandable, memory is 32 GB, the model we tested.
The LeTV Pro integrates an IPS display from 5.5 inch QHD 2560 by 1440 pixels and a really high density. The screen has a good quality and a high viewing angle even if whites who tend to darken. Nothing particularly negative and that can be changed through calibration and colour balance within the settings.
The Panel runs well, the keyboard needs to be replaced as in Chinese but also the touch responds well and follows the finger with precision. outdoor visibility is not very high and the buttons off the screen davveor not very visible.
Drums, Audio and reception:
The battery, integrated, non-pro model is 3000mAh and unfortunately because of the display with higher resolution and piùenergivoro processor you can’t cover the whole day and mid-afternoon we already with little autonomy.
Phone that offers a particularly brilliant and not receive a decent audio quality in capsule and via speaker. The SIM management allows us to set a default SIM for calls and 4 g data and customize name and color. You cannot choose a different ringtone for each SIM. LTE is not present in the band at 800 MHz. Can the recording of voice calls.
The OS is Android in version 5.0.2 Lollipop with user interface, EUI. The device under test is purchased from Topresellerstore that sells it already with “root” and Google services pre-installed. There is no Italian as the language of the system.
Like most UI from Asia, too, is characterized by the absence of the drawer. All apps are already distributed on the customizable homescreen. With one swipe down from any home we can bring down the curtain, customizable notifications and with ability to set the “priority“.
The “quick toggle” are present within the multitasking, more definable “control center”, which opens with a long press the headset key. Here we also find the slide to adjust the brightness and the media player controls. Even so, extensive customizability. In the home there is a “live” button that should be opening an app that, outside China, it doesn’t work. Other applications in the course of our testing, have experienced random crashes.
The music player, personalized with Chinese LeTV services, offers a good quality speaker system thanks to optimizations via DTS. The video player plays with no problem even videos with resolution 2 k.
“Promoted” gaming with our reference game, “Real Racing 3”, which does not undergo any kind of slowdown and also the framerate is particularly high. The processor tene anyway to warm a bit too.
The LeTV pro\r from Topresellerstore, with VAT, duties and warranties included sells to 519 euros. The LeTV definitely has a good quality hardware powered by a processor S810 which behaves very well. Obviously, it is a product that, at present, is designed exclusively for the Chinese market and so even with the updates, there could always be some problems. Best suited for so-called “geeks” who should not have difficulty in being able to make better use of this device.
